Great location, the grounds and pool were delightful in this nicely refurbished convent (18th C ? ) that provided a unique flavor to our stay. Staff were extremely helpful in meeting a room change request, and checkin was a breeze, including a "free" delicious drink was a nice touch. The pool and the surrounding gardens are a strong plus factor if you're looking for that experience. We appreciated the the original feel and materials of this refurbished convent which reflects evident care and tasteful adaptations. Lots of details and stonework that are unmistakably original.

The location was ideal for access to anything a visitor might want in the center of Oaxaca. The hotel was beautiful, clean and the service was impeccable. I did not sample food other than a simple breakfast which was just fine. There were several weddings during my stay and the room was quiet and unaffected by the celebrants! The staff were professional, polite and very helpful. After seeing several other "chic" hotels in Oaxaca, I would only stay at the Quinta Real.

The Quinta Real is in a perfect location for exploring Oaxaca. You don't need a car. The surrounding historic centro is so colorful. The hotel itself is very old and historic and many of the old features have been preserved yet you will have all modern comforts. Breakfast on the beautiful patio was the perfect way to start the day. If you want to stay in a historic place this is the best in town.

I enjoyed the history and architecture of this property. It’s really beautiful and well maintained. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. I especially liked the garden courtyards and fountains which drew a lot of birds so it was nice to wake up and have coffee while watching the birds singing and splashing about in the fountains.
